1) I want to run it like waivers, with reverse standings order from last year's season. Ex: last place team gets 1st shot at a player, 1st place team gets last chance.
2) We will have a snake order, so order reverses in the next round.
3) It will be conducted on here, and once you are successful in a claim, you can add them on ESPN.
4) You must use the 2014 salary for the player.
5) There will be a 24 hour clock that starts once the previous team has made their selection (to keep things moving along). Once that time limit has been exceeded, the next team in
order may make their selection. A team can jump back in though.
EX: Team 1 makes a selection, team 2 has 24 hours expire w/out making a pick. Team 3 is on the clock and makes a pick. Team 4 is on the clock, and team 2 shows up and makes a
pick. Your time never expires on a player selection, it just starts the clock for others to make their pick.
6) I will compose a master prospect list so no one takes a player they shouldn't.
7) If you select a player that is another team's property, a free agent, etc., you forfeit that pick and will have to wait until your next turn. A player that is on another team's
prospect list (whether listed or not, he is that organization's property) or roster can be chosen so long as a) he is not on their ESPN roster, and b) he exceeded 130 ABs or 50 IP the previous season.
8) A team can opt to pass on making a selection, but please be kind and let us know asap, rather than waiting for time to expire.
9) Players added during this phase can be dropped later w/o penalty during the free agency period.
This process could last a week or two, and free agency will begin soon afterward. I did my best to develop the above process. Let me know if I overlooked something. Thanks!
